School psychologists may provide support and consultation to teachers and parents of students experiencing learning and/or behavior problems. Students with an Individual Education Program who exhibit the need for a higher level of care may be recommended to receive Educationally-Related Mental Health Services. Nan Hugelshofer PPSC, APCC #11935
(6th Grade)

Ms. Hugelshofer has been working as a School Counselor since 2014 and as an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor since 2016. She received her Masters in Science in School Counseling from San Francisco State University. As a School Counselor, she focuses her work in the social-emotional, academic and college/career domains. Every year, Ms. Hugelshofer makes it a priority to meet with every student on her caseload to introduce herself and get to know her students. Throughout the year, students can sign up to speak with her by writing their names on her office whiteboard or sending her an email request. She provides short-term, solution focused counseling to students on her mental health caseload as well as academic counseling. She also partners with the School Psychologist to run targeted psychoeducational groups throughout the school year. 650-312-7839

(7th Grade)
James "Chuck" Perryman Jr. (8th Grade ) Chuck has served as School Counselor at Bowditch Middle School for 8 years. He graduated with a B.A. in Literary Studies from The University of Texas at Dallas in 1989. He holds a M.A . in Educational Administration from San Francisco State University (2005) also a M.A. in Counseling from Saint Mary's College of California(2011). He taught High School Theatre Arts for 27 years before becoming a School Counselor. He enjoys travel, reading anything and everything, but especially his dog Elijah Dylan and cat Evan Hansen. 650-638-3151
